NSW Labor Leader Michael Daley Attends Italian Friends Of Labor Christmas

The annual event saw the participation of many people who followed Daley’s speech with great interest.

He spoke about Labor’s plans to better the state’s living conditions.

The party’s first priority is to redirect thousands of dollars which are currently being invested in the demolition and reconstruction of Sydney stadiums.

The Opposition aims to invest that money in more important initiatives, such as replacing demountable classrooms, increasing maintenance of school buildings and increasing funding for health services.

Free travel on public transport for school children and free birth certificates are two plans which have already been announced with the intention of easing financial burdens on families.

Daley also indicated that the NSW Labor party intends to increase allocation of funds and services to regional areas of NSW, which have been forgotten by Sydney-centric policies enacted by the current state government.

The evening was hosted by Shadow Minister for Police, Shadow Minister for Corrections, and Shadow Minister for Emergency Services Guy Zangari, with the support of executive members of the Italian Friends of Labor Frank Chiment and The Honourable Amanda Fazio.

Also present were Italian senator Francesco Giacobbe, the honourable Shaoquett Moselmane MLC, Labor candidate for Mulgoa Todd Carney, former federal deputy for Reid John Murphy, and consultant of the Calabrian region Antonio Mittiga.

Antonio Bamonte, a founding member of the Italian Friends of Labor in the seventies, was also present.
